How “NRM Heavyweight” Hon. Bosmic Otim Proves Mobilization Power in Lira City, paralyzes Business for Two Hours.

LIRA CITY, UGANDA — Business in Lira City came to a stand still for nearly two hours on Tuesday 7th April 2026, as thousands of residents and NRM fans of Hon Bosmic Otim “Lawi Awobe” swarmed the streets to welcome the party’s chief mobiliser / Predidential advisor for Northern Uganda, Hon. William Otim, popularly known as Otim p’ Aryemo.
The popular singer-turned-politician, who was on a mobilisation trail,and touring Lira city attracted a huge crowd within a short period of time.
The most significant paralysis was witnessed along Obote Avenue and near the Lira City Main Market, where many traders temporarily closed their shops to catch a glimpse of the artist.
The ‘Bosmic’ effect led to a deafening procession, hooting and celebration rocks the street of Lira city in unison as fans ran alongside Otim’s vehicle and queen dancers.
Many praised his grassroots mobilisation strategy, which has made him a pivotal figure for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Northern region.
Ms Anna Akullo, a businesswoman at the Lira City Main Market, told the The media that she had to suspend work to witness the legend and predidential advisor.
“Oh my God! I could not miss seeing our NRM hero, Bosmic Joyce Otim. I decided to close my shop temporarily so I could physically see the man who has become our best mobiliser,” she said.

Beyond the cheers, Otim’s presence in the region is part of his broader strategy fir NRM party to consolidate support in Northern Uganda continously.
Following the Lira City standstill, the singer was reportedly spotted heading towards the West Nile sub-region in the evening. He was accompanied by fellow artist Isaac Awio, also known as “Awio Scrap Dealer,” among others for another strategic concert.
