Erute MP- Elect Hon. Engola Sam Praises Gen. Muhoozi’s Contributions to National Progress and Patriotism.

Kampala, Uganda- April 26, 2026:
The Member of Parliament elect for Erute South, Lira District, Hon. Sam Engola, has expressed strong appreciation and congratulation for the role played by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the CDF, in advancing Uganda’s stability and development.

MP Elect Hon Engola Sam highlighted Gen. Muhoozi’s longstanding involvement in strengthening national security, particularly through his leadership roles within the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF). He noted that sustained peace and stability have created an enabling environment for socio-economic growth, investment, and service delivery and wealth creation across Lango Sub region and Uganda as a whole.

Speaking during an engagement with the media in Kampala on Sunday, Engola emphasized that his admiration is rooted in tangible contributions rather than political convenience. “I do have a big reason to celebrate Gen. Muhoozi because of the things he has done for this country,” he stated, underscoring his belief in recognizing impactful leadership.

As an MP elect advocating for peace he has focus on community development and security.
Engola said Muhoozi’s influence in military and strategic affairs has often positioned him as a key figure in Uganda’s internal and regional security framework.

The senior presidential advisor who is now an influencial politician in Uganda pointed to growing youth-focused initiatives and national unity efforts associated with Gen. Muhoozi’s engagements. He suggested that such outreach has contributed to bridging generational gaps and inspiring young Ugandans to participate more actively in nation-building espicially the ones in Northern Uganda.

Engola’s remarks align with a broader narrative among some leaders who view Gen. Muhoozi as part of a new wave of leadership shaping Uganda’s future trajectory as far ad PLU is concerned.

As Uganda continues to navigate its development path, voices like that of Hon Engola Sam, MP elect Erute South County, indicate trust in Gen. Muhozi’s leadership, legacy, and how he is shaping the country’s future hence, Muhoozi remains a subject of national influence.

MP Engola Sam concluded by urging leaders in Lango and Northern Uganda to focus on unity, service delivery and recognizing contributions that positively impact Uganda’s progress.
As NRM historical in Northern Uganda, Hon Sam Engola has commended president Museveni for being a patriotic leader who has united the country, created thousands of jobs and mentored many young politicians who have now progressed in various aspects of life.
