Uganda’s celebrated live music ensemble, Abeeka Band, has officially announced their highly anticipated debut independent concert, Roots & Vibes, during a press conference held in Kampala. The event brought together media, partners, and key industry players in a significant moment for the country’s live music scene.
Scheduled to take place on May 2 at the Ndere Cultural Centre, the concert marks a major milestone as the band celebrates five years of musical excellence, growth, and brotherhood.
Known for their exceptional artistry and dynamic live performances, Abeeka Band continues to redefine Uganda’s live music experience.
The press conference was attended by the full Abeeka lineup, Pages, Kevin, Michael, Allan, and Dr. Trey, alongside headline sponsors Tusker Malt Lager and The Singleton, whose continued investment in live music has played a pivotal role in shaping Uganda’s entertainment landscape.

Adding to this, Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group, highlighted the broader cultural significance of the event, saying, “This concert represents exactly where the Ugandan entertainment industry is headed ,toward more intentional, experience-driven live music. Abeeka Band has put in the work over the years, and it’s inspiring to see session musicians step into the spotlight and build something of this scale.
