Amolatar LCV Chairperson-elect Morish Ogwal Omara Dedicates 5-Year Term to God with a Mega Thanksgiving on May 22

AMOLATAR – The newly elected Chairperson LC5 of Amolatar District, Hon. Morish Ogwal Omara, has invited the public to a grand thanksgiving prayer and victory celebration to mark the beginning of his 2026–2031 leadership term.
The historic gathering, scheduled for May 22, 2026, will take place at Adwala Trading Centre, Akongomit, in Awelo Sub-county. The event is expected to draw a massive crowd of religious leaders, government officials, and jubilant supporters from across the Lango sub-region to celebrate what has been described as a “people-centered victory.”

Speaking ahead of the event, Hon. Ogwal Omara—widely regarded as the “New Face of Amolatar”—emphasized that the celebration is primarily a moment to honor God’s grace and seek divine wisdom for the task ahead.
“This is a moment to express gratitude for a peaceful democratic victory and to dedicate this new leadership journey into God’s hands. We want a term defined by wisdom, service, and accountability,” the Chairperson-elect stated.

Coming on the heels of a competitive electoral cycle, the thanksgiving is also being positioned as a platform for reconciliation. Leaders in the district have hailed the move as a vital step toward healing political divides and uniting the people under a shared development agenda.
“This event symbolizes unity and a renewed commitment to progress. It is a time for all citizens, regardless of their political leanings, to come together and reaffirm their hope in transformative leadership,” noted a member of the organizing committee.
New Era of Progress

Amolatar LC5 elect- Hon. Ogwal Omara’s 2026–2031 vision centers on wealth creation, improved service delivery, and transparent governance. The May 22 celebrations will serve as a mirror for this transformative era, with supporters and well-wishers expected to turn up in large numbers to witness the dedication of the district’s new political chapter to God.
