The Basigi clan in Kisoro district, local leaders, opinion and elders have condemned children who sell off properties of their parents after the death of the leaders.
The condemnation was made during a special Basigi clan meeting held in Kisoro municipality over the weekend.
The meeting was held in memory of the late Engineer Erasmus Ezra Hashaka who passed away in December 2002.
The late Engineer Erasmus Ezra Hashaka was the father of the RDC Obongi Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka.
The elders and leaders sadly noted that most children sell off properties of their parents immediately after the death of their parents causing alot of instability and wiping out of the posterity of families.The RDC Obongi Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka thanked the Basigi clan and leaders in Kisoro for intervening in the matter because Mafias were trying to suffocate the estate of the late Engineer Erasmus Ezra Hashaka by even trying to sell off his late mother’s matrimonial home and those of the remaining step mothers using lawyers who wanted to get a share of the property.
