LIRA CITY, UGANDA — As the global Islamic community unites in solemn celebration, Lira City West Division Member of Parliament, Hon. Shedrick Vincent Obong Eyit, has extended his warmest, most heartfelt greetings to all the Muslims across his constituency, the Lango sub-region, and the entire Uganda.
In an official message released to the public, the newly sworn-in legislator highly commended the faithful for their spiritual resilience. He urged them to use the holy season to deeply root the values of mutual respect, grassroots unity, and shared community development.
A Message of Absolute Peace and unity:
Hon Obong who has immediately hit the vround across Lira City and Lango sub-region, prayed that the divine blessings of the holy day would manifest into visible household transformation for his constituents of Lira City west Division..

I extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes,” the MP’s official statement read. “May the Almighty Allah accept your acts of worship, fortify the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood among us, and bless your households with enduring peace, contentment, and unity.”

The legislator noted that religious celebrations provide a vital framework for breaking down social barriers and comfirting us all.
Insiders within the Lira City West Division commended Hon Vincent for always actively engaging God/ Allah more espicially with the Lira City Islamic leadership as his 2026–2031 kick off by term to embracing the love and mercy of Allah on us all. His goal is to ensure that all program in Lira City—reach all families regardless of political or religious affiliations.
