MINISTER AKELLO JOINS KITGUM COMMUNITY TO WELCOME ARCHBISHOP KAZIMBA MUGALU.
Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori Minister for Northern Uganda and Agago District Woman MP Joined thousands of christians to receive Archbishop Stephen Kazimba Mugalu in Kitgum.

KITGUM — The Minister of State for Northern Uganda, Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, who doubles as the Agago Woman MP, on Thursday joined thousands of people in Kitgum community in welcoming the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, the Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu, during his pastoral and farewell visit to the Diocese of Kitgum.
The occasion, held at Kitgum Municipality, brought together government officials, religious leaders, and members of the community to honour the Archbishop, reflect on his service to the Church and celebrate his pastoral ministry.
Hon Minister Akori joined the faithful and fellow leaders in recognising the Archbishop’s contribution to the Church of Uganda and his commitment to serving communities through faith, leadership and pastoral guidance.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Akori said government is committed to working with church leaders to promote peace, unity and development.
The visit also created a platform for government and Church leaders to interact with the Christian community and emphasise the importance of working together in promoting peace, unity, social development and the wellbeing of the people of Northern Uganda.
The Diocese of Kitgum continues to host the Archbishop as Christians, Church leaders, government representatives and community members participate in the various activities marking his pastoral and farewell visit.
