Organisers target funds for two HB machines for Aduku, Dokolo health centres

All roads lead to Lira City on October 3, 2026, for the 3rd Edition of the Uhuru Sickle Cell Run.
Organisers are rallying the public to lace up their shoes and join the run aimed at raising awareness about sickle cell disease and mobilizing funds to buy two HB electrophoresis machines.
The machines are earmarked for Aduku Health Center IV and Dokolo Health Center IV to boost diagnosis and management of sickle cell cases in Lango sub-region.
How to Participate
A running kit goes for Shs30,000 and comes with a bag.

Organisers are calling on corporate companies, schools, and well-wishers to support the cause.
“Every kit bought brings us closer to saving lives,” the organisers said.
