Kyankwanzi,Uganda- June 15, 2026: Minister of State for Northern Uganda, Hon. Beatrice Akello Akori, has joined other newly appointed Cabinet and State Ministers for an 8-day orientation retreat at the National Leadership Institute (NALI) in Kyankwanzi.

The retreat, which opened on June 15, 2026, was organised by the Cabinet Secretariat. It focuses on ideological clarity, wealth creation, accountability, and the government’s 2026–2031 development agenda.
President Yoweri Museveni, who officially opened the retreat, urged ministers to shun ideological confusion and concentrate on moving Ugandan households from subsistence living into the money economy.
Vice President Jessica Alupo and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja told ministers there is zero tolerance for corruption, inefficiency, and delays in service delivery.

Minister Akello said the training is so interesting
Speaking to our reporter, Hon. Akello said the training was “so interesting” as ministers are being taken through service delivery, real-time monitoring of government programmes like the Parish Development Model, and strategies for agro-industrialisation and wealth creation.
She commended H.E. the President for the “brilliant training” that is focusing on key priority areas including agro-industrialisation, PDM, zero tolererance to corruption,science and innovation.
“I promise to use the new knowledge to implement NRM government programmes,” Hon. Akello Akori said.
