Kisembo polls 26,612 votes, NUP’s Timanyire gets 8,712

Kikuube ,Uganda-June 19, 2026: NRM’s Paddy Kisembo has been declared the new LCV Chairperson for Kikuube District after winning Tuesday’s by-election.
Returning Officer Twine Emmanuel declared Kisembo winner after he polled 26,612 votes against NUP’s Fenekansi Timanyire who got 8,712 votes.
RDC salutes stakeholders:
Kikuube RDC Angalia Godwin Kasigwa congratulated Kisembo and commended all stakeholders for a peaceful poll.
“I salute all stakeholders, Electoral Commission officials, and security agencies for ensuring a peaceful and orderly by-election,” Kasigwa said.
He praised candidates and supporters for “conducting mature politics”.
“In every election, there is a winner and those who wait for another opportunity — such is the beauty of democracy. A great leader also knows how to follow and respect the people’s choice,” he added.
“Congratulations to my brother, Hon. Paddy Kisembo. I wish you wisdom, success, and God’s guidance in your leadership. Democracy is strongest when competition ends and unity begins.”
