The Electoral Commission has released the programme for Village (LC I) and Parish (LC II) elections scheduled for July and August.
Key dates:
EC Chairperson Justice Simon Byabakama Mugenyi said polling for Village Chairpersons will be held on July 28, 2026.
Election shall be peacefully conducted by lining up. All photos courtesy.
Recruitment of Village Election Officials started on June 22 and ends July .
LC II polls
Polling for Parish/Ward Chairpersons is set for August 10, 2026, after nominations on August 3 and campaigns from August 4 to 9.
EC boss Byabakama called on all stakeholders to participate in accordance with election guidelines.
