Drama, school sensitisation to target teenage pregnancies, dropouts.

Youth leaders in Obongi District and the wider Madi Sub-region have joined the Resident District Commissioner’s [RDC] office to intensify the fight against defilement, teenage pregnancies, and school dropouts.
Meeting resolves on action:
Obongi District Youth Council Chairperson Eriku Patrick, General Secretary Edema Herbert, and Madi Sub-region Coordinator for Youth Coalition for SDGs Kayodi Proscovia Kevin met RDC Obongi Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka and Assistant RDC Umuhoza Habiba at the RDC’s office.
The leaders agreed to sensitize learners and follow up defilement cases for prosecution. They will visit all primary and secondary schools to educate girls on the dangers of defilement and skills to avoid it.

The team also resolved to use drama and music for community sensitization. The RDC’s office and youth leaders launched the drama campaign at Obongi Primary School.
