Lira Pakistan Association to hold blood donation camp on August 30
LIRA CITY, UGANDA: The Lira Pakistan Association in Lira City has organized a blood donation camp slated for Sunday, 30th August 2026, in a bid to boost blood supply and save lives.
The camp, themed “A Small Act of Kindness Can Save a Life”, will be held at GB Restaurant Lira, next to YY Coaches Office, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Organizers said the initiative is aimed at rallying members, business partners, institutions and well-wishers to support the noble cause of donating blood to save lives.
“Your blood can give someone another chance at life. Come forward, donate blood and make a difference,” the Association said in a poster.
According to the organizers, every donor will receive a branded shirt and a certificate of appreciation.
The Association says donating blood not only saves lives and helps patients in need, but also builds a healthier community.
“Be a donor, save lives,” the organizers appealed.
The Lira Pakistan Association brings together Pakistani nationals and friends in Lira City and has been involved in various community support activities.
