Maruzi North MP Bernard Otim rallies constituents for massive turnout During Upcoming National Cleaning Day.

Apac, Uganda: The Member of Parliament for Maruzi North, Hon. Bernard Otim, has urged residents of his constituency to join fellow Ugandans in participating in the National Cleaning Day slated for Saturday, August 29, 2026.
In a message to constituents, Hon. Otim called on all residents to turn up in their respective trading centres and communities to clean their surroundings, clear litter, improve sanitation and keep the environment healthy and clean.
“This is our community, and keeping it clean is our collective responsibility. Let us turn up in large numbers, work together, and make Maruzi North proud!” he said.
He emphasized that a clean community guarantees healthy people and a better Uganda.
The second National Cleaning Day will be observed across the country on Saturday 29th August, 2026 under the theme of community-led sanitation and environmental protection.
