Alebtong RDC Okiswa Geoffrey Leads General Cleaning Exercise.

ALEBTONG – Alebtong Resident District Commissioner (RDC), Mr. Okiswa Geoffrey, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, led a team of committed people and law abiding citizen during the national general cleaning exercise.
According to RDC Okiswa, in adherence to the National Cleaning Day programme, they cleaned the district.
“We participated in Aloi Town Council together with Deputy RDC Lutwama Mathias and the DPC Alebtong. We joined residents to slash, pick rubbish, weed and open trenches,” Okiswa said.
He said communities were enthusiastic and happily participated in the exercise between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m.
In Amugu Town Council, however, the Assistant RDC, Mr. Jimmy, caused the arrest of the GISO, Town Agent and LC1 Chairperson for allegedly trivializing the exercise by calling another meeting at the time of the cleaning exercise.
Okiswa noted that primary health care is more significant than treatment, a principle emphasized by H.E. President Yoweri Museveni.
