Former Ngariam MP Aspirant Mulalu Donated nearly Shs1m to facilitate Palam Road Works.

NGARIAM, KATAKWI – Former Ngariam County MP aspirant, Hon. Dan Mulalu has backed community-led road improvement efforts in Palam Sub-county, amid growing concerns over impassable roads.
Speaking during a community engagement in Palam at the weekend, Mulalu described the state of roads in the area as disturbing, noting that the poor condition has continued to disrupt daily life, trade and access to essential services, especially during the rainy season.
“The situation is disturbing. Our people cannot access markets, health centres and schools because of these roads,” Mulalu said.
Mulalu, who has remained active in community development despite losing in the previous elections, pledged to work with the incumbent Member of Parliament and other stakeholders to find a lasting solution to the infrastructure challenge.
He said unity among political leaders is crucial in addressing community needs.
“Unity among political leaders is crucial if we are to improve the living conditions of our people in Palam,” he added.
In a show of commitment, the former aspirant donated nearly Shs1 million to facilitate ongoing community road maintenance works in Palam.
The contribution has been welcomed by residents, who say improved roads are vital for their livelihoods.
“Improved roads are vital for our livelihoods and essential services,” one resident called Milly said.
Residents expressed optimism that with sustained collective effort, the road network in Palam will be transformed, thereby enhancing mobility, boosting economic opportunities and improving the overall quality of life.
