Alebtong RDC Hails Rt. Hon. Denis Obua as a Gift from God, Predicts Landslide Victory in Forthcoming Election.

Alebtong, Uganda – December 13, 2025 – The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) of Alebtong, Mr. Okiswa Geoffrey, has praised the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ajuri County, Rt. Hon. Denis Hamson Obua, as a “gift from God” and a driving force behind the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in the district. Okiswa expressed confidence that Obua will emerge victorious in the forthcoming parliamentary election scheduled for January 15, 2026.

According to RDC Okiswa, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua’s hard work and dedication to the people of Ajuri County have earned him a reputation as a disciplined and effective leader. The RDC cited Obua’s contribution of an ambulance to the community and his impressive performance on the parliamentary scorecard, which has strengthened his chances of winning the election with over 70% of the vote.

Okiswa urged the people of Alebtong to vote for President Museveni and other NRM flag bearers, emphasizing that Obua is a highly valued member of the party. “Obua is like a hot cake of NRM,” he said, highlighting the MP’s popularity and influence in the region.

Obua, who also serves as the Government Chief Whip, has been ranked among the top parliamentary debaters in the country, placing sixth out of over 500 Members of Parliament. His active role in championing key national issues has positioned him favorably as the election approaches.

Recently, Obua presented several critical concerns affecting the people of Lango to H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, including the need for improved infrastructure and development projects in the region. He also outlined the progress made on major development projects already delivered in the sub-region under the NRM government, such as the establishment of Lira University, the upgrading of Lira Regional Referral Hospital,ongoing Akii-Bua Ólympic stadium construction and the implementation of strategic roads like Lira Kamdini , Rwekunye-Apac-Lira- Puranga road among others .
Obua has also requested that the President prioritize the Dokolo–Bata–Abako–Aloi road for inclusion among major routes, which would significantly boost connectivity, tourism, and trade in the region from Alebtong to Amolatar district.
With his impressive track record and strong support from the community, Obua is widely expected to retain his seat in the forthcoming election. As Okiswa noted, “Obua is a gift from God, and we are confident that he will continue to serve the people of Ajuri County with dedication and distinction.”
