Akalo Urban Council III Chairperson, Ezekiel, Warns Public of Mysterious Vehicles Torturing Individuals in his area.
KOLE, UGANDA – December 19, 2025: In a disturbing development, the Urban Council III Chairperson of Akalo Town Council, Hon. Awere Ezekiel, has sounded an alarm, cautioning residents to be very vigilant about suspicious vehicles roaming the area with the intention of harming people. The warning comes after a disturbing incident was reported on Tuesday morning, where unknown individuals were allegedly torturing someone in a car.


During a press briefing held on Wednesday at Kole District, Chairperson Awere Ezekiel revealed that a vehicle with an unidentified number plate was spotted carrying unknown people who were beating someone in the car. The incident was reported by a woman who claimed to have witnessed the disturbing scene and alerted her neighbors and the authorities to monitor the matter.
According to Awere Ezekiel,(the mayor) of Akalo town council, the woman reported that she heard strange noises coming from the vehicle, which she alleged that someone was being tortured by the occupants on the vehicle as early as 7: 10 AM. The chairperson emphasized that the incident has raised concerns about the safety and security of the community, and warned residents to be cautious when encountering strange vehicles in the area.
“We urge all residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately,” Awere Ezekiel cautioned. “We will not tolerate any form of torture or harm to our citizens, and we will work closely with the police to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.”
The incident has sparked fears that Akalo Town Council may be being used as a hub for illicit activities, including torture and dumping those killed from distance places. The authorities have assured the public that they are taking the matter seriously and are investigating the incident.
Residents are advised to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious vehicles or activities to the police or local authorities so that the calcrits are dealt with there and then. The Urban Council III Chairperson has also urged the community to remain calm but vigilant, assuring them that everything is being done to ensure their safety and security are attended too
The incident is currently under investigation, and the mayor has urged anyone with information to come forward and assist in the probe as he assured our reporter of interest to register the complaint to police regarding the matter. As the investigation continues, the Urban council III chairperson of Akalo town council remain on high alert, eager for answers and reassurance that his community is safe from harm.
