
Hon. Sam Engola Re-Elected, Extends Heartfelt Congratulations to Erute South Electorate.

LIRA, UGANDA – January 24, 2026: Erute South Member of Parliament-elect, Hon. Sam Engola, has extended warm congratulations to the people of his constituency following his decisive re-election in the January 15, 2026, general elections. In a statement released to the media on Saturday, Engola expressed deep gratitude to the electorate for reposing their trust in him for another term in the 12th Parliament of Uganda.

“Please, my people, accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of my re-election as the next Member of the 12th Parliament of Uganda,” Engola said, emphasizing the collective spirit that propelled his victory.
Engola, who secured a commanding majority votes in the recent polls, lauded the unity and support of the people of Erute South, describing their overwhelming turnout as a resounding vote for continuity and development.
Highlighting the need for accelerated progress, especially with the recent creation of the new Erute District already in the pipeline, Engola expressed optimism about the future. “It is my hope that if we work together, there shall be clean water, better roads, improved education, wealth creation, job opportunities for the youth, and real development realized across various sectors in Erute South County,” he stated.

The MP-elect narrated that his re-election is not just a personal victory, but a mandate from the people to deliver tangible development and good governance. He pledged to remain accountable and work hand-in-hand with community leaders, local councils, and government agencies to transform Erute Constituency, Lira District and Lango sub-region as a whole.
He also took a moment to recognize the efforts of his campaign team, NRM supporters, and fellow political leaders who emerged victorious in the recent parliamentary and Local Council V elections. “I wish you success, as well as good health and well-being, as we await my swearing-in ceremony in May 2026,” he said.
Notably,Hon. Engola is among the first Members of Parliament-elect to publicly congratulate his constituents and colleagues—a gesture seen by many as a sign of humility and commitment to unity. His message has since drawn praise across the Lango sub-region, with supportive messages pouring in from fellow leaders, including Hon.
