LIRA. At least three people, including two children, were on Sunday morning injured in a road crash in Lira City West Division.
The first incident occurred at around 10:00 AM at Rainbow area, Obutuwelo Cell in Lira City West Division. Eyewitnesses told TAYARI NEWS UGANDA that a woman driving a Toyota RAV4 number UAJ 371A lost control and rammed into an electric pole.
At the time of the crash, the unidentified woman was travelling with two children. Bystanders attributed the accident to speeding and a possible mechanical failure. By press time, the vehicle’s side mirrors and front part were extensively damaged.
Police are yet to issue an official statement regarding the cause of the accidents or the current condition of the victims.
