Security chiefs and political leaders from the Sebei sub-region have intensified mobilisations ahead of a grand victory celebration for President Yoweri Museveni and the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
The high-level planning meeting, chaired by Bukwo Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Bessie Ajilong—who also heads the organising committee—brought together leaders from Bukwo, Kween, and Kapchorwa districts.
The event was boosted by the presence of the UPDF 3rd Infantry Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Don Nabasa (Karate), along with the Sipi Regional Police Commander (RPC) and the Regional Internal Security Officer (RISO).
During the meeting, Maj. Gen. Karate noted that the President’s victory was a result of a strong partnership between the “men in uniform” and civilians. He stressed that such a milestone deserves a grand celebration.
The mobilisation received a significant financial boost with several cash contributions and pledges led by the MP-elect for Kongasis County, Hon. Brian Besta.
