New ministers for 2026–2031 term take oath, pledge to implement NRM manifesto.

Erute South County MP Hon Sam Engola, has been sworn in as the new Minister for Disaster Preparedness at State House Entebbe.
Minister Sam Engola was among several newly appointed ministers who took the oath of office before President Yoweri Museveni as they formally commenced work for the 2026–2031 term.
Speaking after the swearing-in, Minister Engola shared a moment with the Speaker of the 12th Parliament of Uganda, Rt Hon Jacob Oboth Oboth, at State House Entebbe.
“I congratulate all the newly appointed ministers for the 2026–2031 term. We pledge to work together in ensuring the effective implementation of the NRM manifesto and the programs under the visionary leadership of H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the continued socio-economic transformation and development of our country,” Engola said.
Minister Sam Engola thanked H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for appointing him as a m8nister and promised to do the needful for the NRM government as far as delivering and implementing of all government policies and directives under his ministry are concerned.
The new ministers are expected to steer government policy and service delivery in line with the NRM’s priorities for the next five years.
