Obongi Resident District Commissioner Samuel Mpimbaza Hashaka and ARDC komakech Obina (Latin Pacu) has cautioned newly elected Parish Development Model SACCO leaders against extortion, abuse of office, corruption, and delays in disbursing funds to beneficiaries.
Hashaka was on Monday leading an exercise to revitalize PDM SACCO leadership in the district. He was accompanied by Assistant RDC Komakech Robert Obina, members of the District Executive Committee, and district technical staff.
The RDC emphasized transparency, accountability, and integrity in the management of PDM resources. He said this would ensure the programme achieves its objective of improving household incomes and transforming communities.
“PDM funds are meant to benefit wananchi and support government efforts to move citizens into the money economy,” Hashaka said. He urged the leaders to serve with commitment and fairness.
Hashaka also called for continuous collaboration between SACCO leaders, local leaders, and technical staff to enhance effective implementation and monitoring of the programme.
