Kampala,Uganda: Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Hon. Sam Engola, on Monday celebrated his birthday in a jolly mood.
Family members, ministry officials, and partners from humanitarian agencies joined him to mark the day.
Hon. Engola used the occasion to thank President Museveni for the opportunity that he has given him ( Engola) to serve Ugandans as Minister for Disaster Preparedness and Refugees.
“I thank God for another year. Our work to support refugees and communities hit by disasters such as floods, landslides, and drought continues,” he said.
Hon. Angwech Pamella, the Deputy Speaker of Lira District Local Council, commended the Minister for his good leadership in Erute South and across the country.
“May you live to blow more than a hundred candles,” she said.
The Minister later cut a cake with his friends and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening disaster response and refugee management.
