Kampala, Uganda-June 24, 2026: State Minister for Northern Uganda Hon Beatrice Akello Akori on Wednesday graced the inauguration of the new Secretary General of the Patriotic League of Uganda [PLU].
New SG Fadil sworn in:
Fadil Twalla was officially installed at a ceremony held at the PLU headquarters in Naguru.
The event drew PLU leaders, supporters, and members to witness Twalla assume office.
Minister Beatrice Akori pledges support:
In an exclusive interview with the media Hon Beatricrle Akello Akori who also serves as Agago Woman MP, said her attendance demonstrates positive government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that promote patriotism, national unity, and effective leadership.
She added that Fadil’s inauguration marks a key milestone as the organization strengthens its leadership structures to mobilize Ugandans towards national development.
“I congratulate the newly appointed PLU secretary General for the new term of office. We pledge to work together in ensuring the effective implementation of PLU vision and other programs under the visionary leadership of CDF Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the continued transformation and development of our country,” said Minister Akori.
