Agago ARDC Oweka Bostify Intensifies Monitoring of PDM, Restocking:Warns SACCOs against corruption, vows arrests.

Agago, Uganda-June 25, 2026-Agago Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) Mr. John Oweka Bostify, has intensified monitoring of government programmes, including the Parish Development Model [PDM] and the new restocking program.
Oweka warned SACCO groups to ensure transparency and avoid coordinated corruption in the implementation of PDM vowing to arrest anyone involved in embazzlement.
He said several beneficiaries were arrested last year for manipulating the poor but this time eound they will be taken direct to prison.
“Others share the disbursed money among themselves and manipulate people’s IDs to get the money, then later share it equally,” Oweka said.

Restocking:
On the restocking programme, Oweka said beneficiary guidelines must be strictly followed.
He warned that anyone taking advantage of the programme for personal gain “shall be dealt with legally.”
Commends compliance
Bostify commended some successful PDM beneficiaries for listening to the President’s guidelines on proper use of funds.
