90-Year-Old Anai woman identified as Atat Filder Angwech said she has never benefited from UWEP, SAGE or restocking program.

LIRA CITY— A 90-year-old woman from Anai Agali Cell, Anai Ward, Lira City West Division, has petitioned Minister for Relief, Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, Hon. Sam Engola, to help her access SAGE, PDM or restocking program saying she has been left out of all the government poverty alleviation programmes.
Angwech Filder told journalists on Saturday evening from Anai Agali that she has never benefited from the Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Programme , Emyooga, the Parish Development Model (PDM), the Senior Citizens Grant , or the ongoing restocking programme.

Angwech asked Engola to intervene through the disaster department. “Hon. Sam Engola should buy me a hand hoe so that I plant more cassava and groundnuts because government programmes are not helping me,” she requested. She said she depends on her relative, Stella, for upkeep.
Atat Filder added that she has resorted to keeping four local chickens and cultivates less than one hectare of cassava on her own. “I ask Hon Sam Engola to rescue me from poverty at the age of 90 here in Anai Agali,” she said in deep pain.
Angwech said she gave birth to five children in Abongowelo, Abany Parish, Kwania District, and all died. She also requested a Lango Bible, saying she can read Bible verses to console herself on all the problems a d unfortunate pain she is going through. “My children, please give my number to MP Sam Engola and tell him to talk to the PDM and restocking people to assist me before I die,” she said.
Neighbour’s confirmation
Morish Amoki, a retired teacher and neighbour to Angwech, confirmed that the elderly woman has never received PDM, UWEP or restocking funds. He appealed to well-wishers to help her access the funds.
