KAMPALA — The National Resistance Movement [NRM] Secretary General Hon Richard Todwong, said the party is fully prepared for the upcoming Women Council and LC elections, with mobilization already underway from the village level.
Speaking on the party’s roadmap recently, NRM Secretary General Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong said the ruling party’s structure gives it an advantage going into the elections.
“The NRM is organised from the village upwards. We are ready for these elections, and we are confident of victory as we continue strengthening our grassroots leadership,” Todwong said.
According to the party, the roadmap released lays out timelines and guidelines for mobilization, nominations, and campaigns for Women Councils and Local Council I and II elections across the country.
Todwong noted that strengthening leadership at the grassroots remains central to the NRM’s strategy for service delivery and political stability.
Party officials have been directed to use existing structures to identify, vet and support candidates ahead of the polls.
