RDC Kidega James Hails Current Unity Among Agago Leaders as Key to better service delivery.

AGAGO, UGANDA–Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Agago, Mr. Kidega Nok Nabbinson James, has credited the prevailing unity among district leaders for the improved service delivery being witnessed in the district.
“Our leaders are united, working together, and speaking the same language in line with government policy. That is why Kampala is now listening to Agago,” he said.
Speaking in an exclusive interview, recently,Mr. Kidega Nabbinson James said the current cooperation among political, technical, and security leaders has enabled Agago to speak with one voice and lobby government program effectively through Hon. Minister Beatrice Akori and other members of parliament.
He cited the recent joint lobbying drive that saw Minister Akello Akori the WMP Agago District, Agago LCV Chairperson, Mr. Otto Wilson, travel to the Ministry of Disaster Preparedness and Refugees in Kampala. Following the engagement, government confirmed that Agago will receive food relief for affected households.
Mr. Kidega also praised the Agago Woman MP and Minister of State for Northern Uganda for intensifying engagements with several government offices. The efforts, he said, have secured assurance for food items and seed support for the second planting season, with details to be announced soon.
“Wilson Otto carried Agago’s appeal to Kampala with a letter bearing every leader’s stamp. So government had no doubt that this was the position of all of us,” Mr. Kidega Nok noted.
The RDC expressed confidence that with the current teamwork, the 2026–2031 term will deliver meaningful development to the people of Agago.
He, however, acknowledged that the prolonged sunshine destroyed several crops across the district, and said leaders are working with line ministries to support affected farmers.
To ensure accountability, Mr. Kidega said he is working closely with Deputy RDC Susan Moro, Assistant RDCs Mr. Oweka John Bostify and Mr. Ocana Morris to monitor government programs.
“We are on the ground 24/7 to ensure ‘Kisanja zero tolerance to corruption, especially in PDM, restocking, emyooga and other government projects in Agago,” he emphasized.
