Hon Olobo James Dubai Appointed in new PLU Central Committee – Amolatar and Kaberamaido celebrates.

KAMPALA / AMOLATAR – The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) Chairman and Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has appointed former Kioga North County MP, Hon. Olobo James Dubai, alias PO145, to the new Central Committee of the Patriotic League of Uganda.
Gen. Muhoozi has appointed a new membership of the Central Committee, introducing several new faces while retaining some key figures, with Hon. Olobo James Dubai emerging as one of the most celebrated new entrants in Northern Uganda.
The appointment is a strong vote of confidence in Hon. Olobo’s proven leadership, loyalty, and grassroots mobilization capacity. As former MP for Kioga North County in Amolatar District, Olobo built a reputation as a people-centred leader who stands with the common person, a value that aligns perfectly with PLU’s ideology.
Olobo deserves a recognition
Political observers in Lango and Kaberamaido District describe the appointment as well-deserved. Hon. Olobo is known for his discipline, humility and commitment to the transformation agenda championed by Gen. Muhoozi.
Reacting to his admission into the ranks of PLU, Hon. Olobo said he was pleasantly humbled.
“I am pleasantly humbled to be admitted in the ranks of PLU by Chairman Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba. I pledge total commitment to the ideals and principles of PLU,” Olobo said.

In both Kaberamaido/ Amolatar and the greater Lango sub-region, the news has been received with excitement, with many saying PLU has chosen a tested mobilizer who understands the aspirations of the youth, women in the markets, boda boda riders, and the business community.
As a high profile member of PLU , Hon. Olobo James Dubai is expected to play a key role in strengthening PLU structures, championing environmental protection, youth empowerment, and community transformation, and rallying support for PLU and Gen. Muhoozi’s vision for Uganda.
His appointment signals a new chapter for PLU in Kioga North, Kaberamido District and Lango Sub Region at large.
