Omoro Woman MP Catherine Lamwaka Hands Over 20 Laptop Computers to Four Secondary Schools.

OMORO, UGANDA – Omoro District Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Catherine Lamwaka, who also doubles as the Chairperson of the Acholi Parliamentary Group (APG), has handed over 20 laptops to four secondary schools in the district.
Lamwaka handed over the laptops to the administrators of the beneficiary schools on Friday evening at Opit Seed Secondary School playground, immediately after receiving them from the Minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Yorke Alioni Odria.
The minister of State for ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Yorke Alioni Odria, had officially launched the distribution of 220 laptops for the Acholi sub-region during the thanksgiving ceremony of Omoro County MP, Hon. Andrew Ojok Oulanyah.
In her address to the media, Lamwaka said she was happy to receive the computers during the thanksgiving of her counterpart.
“I am very happy that today, during the thanksgiving ceremony of my counterpart Andrew Ojok Oulanyah of Omoro County, we received the laptops from the Minister of ICT who officially launched the distribution of the 220 laptops in the Acholi sub-region,” she said.
According to Lamwaka, the 20 laptops in her docket have been distributed as follows:
- 5 laptops to St. Thomas Min Akulu Secondary School
- 5 laptops to Lakwana Seed Secondary School
- 5 laptops to Koro Secondary School
- 5 laptops to Lalogi Seed Secondary School
“This computer will be used for supporting our students and teachers in the modern era. The President has always advocated for us as a country to focus on practical skills,” Hon MP Lamwaka added.
