The announcement, released by the Office of the Area Member of Parliament for Mbarara City North, Hon. Dr. Mwesigwa Robert Rukaari, urges all NRM supporters and well-wishers to prepare for the arrival of the NRM National Chairman.

The campaign tour, a critical phase in the ongoing electoral cycle, focuses on rallying support and outlining the party’s manifesto across the heavily populated Western Region.

Following his engagements in Kigezi, President Museveni will proceed to the Ankole Sub-region, starting on Thursday, November 27th, 2025, in Isingiro District.

Hon. Dr. Mwesigwa Robert Rukaari, a prominent NRM figure in the region, is spearheading the mobilization efforts in the Ankole area, aiming to reaffirm the party’s dominance leading up to the polls.

The campaign messages circulated by Rukaari’s office utilized slogans such as “Protecting The Gains” and “Ankole for Museveni,” signaling a concerted effort by local leaders to ensure a decisive victory for the incumbent.
Political observers note that the Western Region, which includes the President’s home area of Ankole, is crucial for the NRM’s national strategy, and the large-scale mobilization indicates the party is taking no chances as the campaign season intensifies.
Further details regarding specific venues and full schedules for each district within the Ankole sub-region are expected to be released by NRM regional coordinators in the coming days.
