KOLE SOUTH, UGANDA – December 17, 2025: In a rally held at Aparango polling station, Omoladyang parish, on Wednesday, Hon. Boniface Okot, a Member of Parliament seeking re-election, has gained significant momentum in his campaign for the 2026 general elections. Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Hon. Okot outlined his vision for the development of Omoladyang parish and Kole South constituency.

At the top of his agenda is the upgrading of Omoladyang Health Centre II to Health Centre III status, a move that will significantly improve healthcare services for the local community. Additionally, Hon. Okot promised to lobby for Omoladyang to be granted sub-county status, which will bring more autonomy and resources to the area.
The MP also pledged to work towards the establishment of a seed secondary school in Omoladyang, as well as the extension of electricity to the area through the Ministry of Energy. He urged the people of Omoladyang to vote for him on January 15, 2026, to ensure the realization of these development projects.

Opio Denis, a resident of Omoladyang parish, expressed his support for Hon. Okot, saying, “If we want a minister to be in Kole, let’s vote for Hon. Okot Boniface.” This sentiment reflects the growing confidence in Hon. Okot’s ability to deliver on his promises and bring meaningful development to the area.
Hon. Okot also announced plans to scrap off monthly maintenance fees for boreholes, a move that will bring relief to many households in the area. He promised to continue repairing boreholes in his next tenure as MP, should he be re-elected.

According to Hon. Okot, his scorecard as MP for Kole South puts him ahead of his fellow rivals, with a proven track record of service delivery in the constituency and district. He accused some of his rivals of engaging in questionable practices, such as selling Kitenge (a type of fabric) to mothers at inflated prices and imposing tough conditions, including the possession of a National ID, before giving out Mama Kits (maternity kits) to young mothers.
In a further commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Hon. Okot promised to lobby for a standard government ambulance for Kole South constituency. This move is expected to improve emergency response services and save lives in the area.

As the 2026 general elections approach, Hon. Okot’s campaign is gaining momentum, with many residents of Aparango and Omoladyang parish expressing their support for his vision and leadership. With his focus on development, healthcare, education, and the welfare of his constituents, Hon. Okot is poised to make a strong showing in the upcoming elections.
