KOLE SOUTH, UGANDA – December 19, 2025 : In a series of rallies held across Kole South County, Member of Parliament Hon. Okot Boniface urged thousands of voters to reject leaders who prioritize their own interests over the needs of the community. Accompanied by his wife, Hon. Okot made stops in four different locations, including Akaliocek village in Omuge parish, Bala sub-county, where he addressed a large gathering of electorate.

During his address, Hon. Okot promised to provide a free and accessible ambulance to the people of Kole South urging the people of Teobia village, Omuge parish, that improving healthcare services in the area is key in his agenda. He also acknowledged the community’s concerns over the lack of electricity and pledged to lobby the Ministry of Energy to connect the area to the national grid.

Furthermore, Hon. Okot stated that he is committed to rehabilitating all broken boreholes in the area and providing free maintenance services at all times when elected to the 12th parliament in 2026 general election. This move is expected to improve access to clean water for the residents of Kole South.
In a significant development, Kali Marthin, a former aide to one of the candidates in the Kole South MP race, defected to Hon. Okot’s camp, citing his previous candidate’s lack of vision for the community. Marthin’s defection is seen as a major boost to Hon. Okot’s campaign.
Syndrella, a popular leader in Kole South, praised Hon. Okot for being a role model in his leadership by doing what the community expect of a real leader. She said Okot donated football to all the villages so far in Bala sub-county.

Odyek Patrick Alii, NRM chairman of Bala Town Council, urged voters to support Hon. Okot due to his clear and comprehensive manifesto.

Odyek also commended Hon. Okot for his achievements in improving the standard of living in Kole South, including the construction of culverts, repair of boreholes, and assistance to the needy.

As the election season heats up in Kole South, Hon. Okot’s message of development and selflessness is resonating with voters. With his promises of improved healthcare, electricity, and water services, Hon. Okot is poised to make a strong case for his re-election.
