– After witnessing the President’s swearing-in tomorrow, she is also expected to be for her own swearing-in ceremony scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 13.

KAMPALA, UGANDA — As the nation counts down the final hours to the presidential swearing-in ceremony, Agago District Woman MP, Hon Beatrice Akello Akori, is “fully set” to attend in person the historic event.
The a key NRM pillar in the Acholi sub-region, spent much of Monday afternoon coordinating her team from Agago, ensuring the district is prominently represented as President Yoweri Museveni takes his oath for a new five-year term tomorrow, May 12.
“We have come to Kampala not just as spectators, but as witnesses to the continued stability and progress that
H.E. President Yoweri Museveni has guaranteed for the people of Agago District,” Akori told TAYARI NEWS UGANDA. “My team is fully mobilised and ready to appreciate our leader as he embarks on this next chapter of securing our future.”
She will join thousands of other Ugandans who have begun flocking to the capital City of Kampala to attend the ceremony. Akori noted that the achievements or benefits of NRM programs, specifically the EMYOOGA, Parish Development Model (PDM), which she has been vigorously monitoring has created a lot of changes in poverty eradication.

For Hon Akori, the week carries double significance. After witnessing the President’s swearing-in tomorrow, she is also expected to be for her own swearing-in ceremony scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 13.
“The mandate given to the President and to us as Members of Parliament lasts for five years. Tomorrow’s swearing-in at Kololo is a historic ceremony to move our people out of poverty into the money economy,” she added.
Security remains heightened at Kololo Independence Grounds, with the UPDF and Police making it peaceful and all protocols are in place for the arrival of over 40 heads of state and foreign dignitaries. The ceremony is expected to be a colourful one.
