Dokolo Deputy RDC Masaba said all parish residents are now eligible for SACCO membership in transparency push.

DOKOLO, UGANDA — Dokolo Deputy RDC Ismail Masaba has welcomed new government reforms aimed at strengthening democratic governance, accountability, and transparency in PDM SACCOs across the district.
Speaking during a district training conducted by the District Technical Supporting Staff, Masaba announced that PDM SACCO membership has been expanded to include all Parish residents.
“These reforms ensure that PDM is inclusive and that every household in the parish can benefit and participate in decision making,” Masaba said.

Leaders mobilized for implementation
The training was attended by key district leaders including:
Madam RDC Ajech Babra , Deputy RDC Isnail Masaba, ARDCs, DISO, Operation wealth creation Officer, Vice Chairman, Communication Officer, CAO Representative, DCDO, Town Clerks, Sub-county Accounting Officers, Town Agents, and members of the District Executive Committee.
Masaba tasked the leaders to spearhead community sensitization and ensure the new guidelines on transparency and accountability are followed ahead of SACCO elections and fund disbursements.
District officials say the expanded membership is expected to increase participation, improve oversight, and deliver better results under the Parish Development Model in Dokolo.
Deputy RDC Dokolo Ismail Masaba emphasised the new PDM reforms on July 8, 2026. All parish residents can now join PDM SACCOs as government pushes for transparency and accountability.
